Eligibility: 8-12 year old bilingual children with autism or children with autism who speak one language.
Purpose: Our lab is broadly focused on investigating the relationship between brain connectivity and cognition in typical and atypical development. For the Bilingualism and Flexibility in Autism Study in particular, we are interested in understanding how language experiences shape brain development and flexible behaviors in both monolingual and bilingual children with autism.
Involvement: Participation in our study involves two separate visits that will last about 2 hours each: one for assessment and one for an MRI scan.
Benefits: Participants will receive $75 upon study completion, along with a picture souvenir of their brain scan! Parking fees are covered as well.
