Katlego Magdeline Rantho, Ph.D., Candidate

Katlego Rantho is a PhD candidate at the North-West University (Mafikeng Campus). Her study aims to understand and investigate the demographic characteristics, personality, trust, trauma and mental health of youth in South Africa. Ms Rantho’s dedication to youth mental health aligns with the SACERT’s mission of advancing research excellence. She holds a Master of Arts in Psychology (cum laude). She has served as a Research Assistant for the SAMRC-DSI/NRF-UL SARChI Research Chair in Mental Health and Society where she gained profound knowledge of research methodologies. Her work has produced eight (8) academic publications in peer-reviewed journals and contributions to conferences and workshops including co-facilitating national and international seminars.
