Amber Chong

Amber Chong (she/her) is a dual Master of Social Welfare and Master of Asian American Studies student at the University of California, Los Angeles. She received her undergraduate degree from Scripps College, where she became passionate about the intersection between health justice and abolition. Previously, she provided individual mental health therapy and case management for systems-impacted youth of color. She currently works at UCLA’s Special Patient Care Clinic in the School of Dentistry, supporting patients with medical complexities and intellectual/developmental disabilities. Amber’s clinical and research interests include trauma- informed care, ableism’s impact on U.S. immigration law, and Southeast Asian refugee experiences of disability.
