Ethan Irwin

Ethan Irwin is from Tustin, California. He is currently a fourth-year undergraduate at Cal State Fullerton, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Philosophy. He works with Dr. Sasha Zeedyk and Dr. Yasamin Bolourian as a research assistant investigating Toastmasters as an community-based program for neurodivergent adults to increase public speaking skills, confidence, and social connection. He has experience as a respite caregiver for autistic teens, as a volunteer at the Down Syndrome Foundation, and as a behavioral therapist in the field of applied behavior analysis for the past two years. He plans to bring a unique perspective as a technician for improving service quality and reducing stigma surrounding neurodivergent topics.

He expects to graduate in May 2026 and is working to become competitive for Clinical Psychology PhD programs. He plans to obtain a full-time post-baccalaureate research position where he can continue gaining research experience in his area of interest.
