Ryan Hu

Ryan Hu holds a B.S. in Anthropology from UCLA and will begin the Master of Public Health for Health Professionals (MPH.HP) program at UCLA in Fall 2025, specializing in health promotion and education. His academic and professional interests include mental health, HIV/AIDS, social stigma, and the structural determinants of health inequities, particularly within Chinese and global communities. Ryan joined the Tarjan Center Advisory Committee (TAC), where he contributes to initiatives that advance inclusive policy, community engagement, and social justice. He is passionate about raising awareness of mental health and advocating for greater support for individuals with disabilities in educational settings to foster more inclusive and equitable learning environments. With an interdisciplinary background in public health and the social sciences, Ryan is committed to equity-oriented work that amplifies the voices of marginalized groups and promotes systemic change.
