Dr. Luana Turner is a clinical psychologist with more than 20 years of experience in providing therapy, case management, and counseling to individuals experiencing serious mental illness. Specifically here at the UCLA Aftercare Research Program treating individuals who have experienced a first episode of schizophrenia. Here at the Aftercare Program she has provided therapy and case management to patients, was a primary clinical supervisor who provided training to doctoral trainees and interns, and effectively co-developed a practicum. Dr. Turner's emphasis area is multicultural community clinical psychology, specializing in diversity and inclusivity. Dr. Turner also specializes in the individual placement and support (IPS) model of supported employment and education (SEE). Providing services to individuals utilizing this model and consulting and supervision to organizations implementing the IPS model of SEE services. She is compassionate and dedicated to providing exceptional care and devising treatment plans that focus on a strength based approach.
