Mission

The Longevity Center Mission is to help people live better, longer lives through lifelong learning, research, and community programs. We seek to motivate and empower people to take an active role in their self-care and wellness. 

 

Programming

The Longevity Center offers programming for lifelong learning through our Senior Scholars program, cognitve/memory training coursres, and webinars . We offer a Senior Resource directory for information for adults 50+ on events and resources at the UCLA Campus. Please see our description of these programs on our website.

 

Support

The Longevity Center is 100% self-supporting. We rely on our programming and gifts from the community to sustain our Center. Individuals and organizations can support the Longevity Center through tax deductible donations to honor an individual, provide a scholarship to one of our courses or senior scholars classes, or through supporting a new project or event.

Virtual Memory Programs Schedule

 

Memory Training 

Memory Training is a four session course, teaching memory enhancing techniques and practical strategies to boost memory functioning. Research has shown that the techniques are effective compensatory strategies for people with mild age-related memory challenges. The course is offered virtually via ZOOM, and taught by licensed psychologists and psychology residents. The course is not designed for people with dementia or advanced Mild Cognitive Impairment. Memory Training is an educational program and not intended as a treatment for memory disorders.

Price is non-transferable and can only be used on the date chosen. Payment needed at the time of registration. Includes all four sessions. Please schedule accordingly as we do not offer make-up sessions for missed classes.

Brain Boot Camp--Pillars of Health 

This intensive, interactive course provides participants with lifestyle strategies focusing on nutrition, sleep, exercise, stress reduction, and cognitive stimulation  to keep brains vital and reduce risk of cognitive decline.  Research studies indicate that engaging in healty lifestyle behaviors can expand our healthy years and reduce risk for cognitive decline. Whether you are healthy or have chronic illness, it is never too late to start a brain health program. The Brain Boot Camp is offered virtually to individuals and small groups.
